Position Description
- Job Description:Bulk Feed Delivery Driver
- Reports to:Fleet Manager / Dispatch
- Direct Reports to Position:None
- Typical Schedule:40 – 55 hours per week typically
- Wage Structure:Hourly + Bonus
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate optimum delivery schedule with dispatcher.
- Review picking of bagged product for delivery (if applicable) with dispatcher.
- Coordinate bulk feed truck loading with control room operator to ensure order fulfillment.
- Drive delivery truck to customer locations per the delivery schedule.
- Exercise good judgment/caution while driving and observe rules and regulations of the road.
- Ensure unloading of product at the customer location is accurate and timely.
- Coordinate bill of lading/customer payment/customer invoice issues as needed.
- Communicate relevant quality/customer issues with management as needed.
- Perform daily truck inspections and communicate maintenance/PM needs with management.
- Assist others when applicable in the loading of trucks and truck maintenance tasks.
- Utilize safe work practices when performing work tasks and report any unsafe conditions or acts to management.
- Practice effective communication with detail oriented information.
- Promote teamwork with all company coworkers.
